1. At first I had a lot of trouble deciding
which letter to choose. I came across the letter F because it had many themes
that I could personally work off. I started sketching out 20 different styles
of the letter F and seeing what I can work off of. I came to a conclusion of
two final ideas of the letter F. These ideas included arrows shaping into the
letter and football with goal posts on it. The process was defiantly helpful because
my final arrangement came from the process of creating the 20 sketches.
2. I arrived at the two sketches. A Football
and a goal post forming the letter F and Arrows shaping in the letter on a
table. I wanted my letter to be football related because that’s what I have a
strong passion for. But decided to create something different, because I always
make everything related to football. I decided to create the concept with the
arrows because I like archery a lot. I represented this by creating similar
arrows to the ones Native Americans used.
3. The most challenging aspect of the
project was staying with one concept. This was the hardest because I wanted to
concept to meet all the rubric requirements while also looking like the
actually letter F. I went back and forth between concepts many times.
4. I am satisfied with my project after brainstorming
and jumping from concept to concept I am satisfied with the outcome. After the
peer feedback I got, I can finally say my letter actually looks like an F.
5. If I can change something about my design I
would add more color to the overall design. I specifically put color on the fletching
of the arrows to add a unique look to the design. But I think it would look a
little bit more appealing to the eyes if the whole design was colored,
including the background.
